Project Life Saturday (on Monday)

Since I spent the weekend enjoy some family time at the Delta in Toronto, I didn't have the time to post this on Saturday. So here we go on Monday...

01/15 Monkey and his trains. His tracks take over our living room every day. His trains are his life right now.

01/16 My sweet boys. These two are my world right now; and I wouldn't have it any other way.

0/17 Someone has the cutest jam covered face I have ever seen. He's also in need of a haircut. Strangers are starting to tell me I have a beautiful daughter. That's my cue that a haircut is due.

01/18 Peek a boo! His eyes are always on Mama. The world could be burning down around him, as long as he can see me, he's fine.

01/19 Lookin' so handsome! I decided to try out a hair salon that is just for kids. Cookie Cutters was just a little more money than I normally spend, but Monkey got to pick his chair, watch a Thomas DVD, got to pick out a balloon with a cookie cutter attached to it and got a sucker (which he dropped 5 seconds after opening it). He also got to play on the slide while waiting for his turn. I think we got our money's worth. He loved it there.
01/20 Sporting the new do. He can't wait to go to school to show it off to his teachers.

01/21 I eat broccoli, Mom! How to entertain a baby while making dinner.

Until next time...

Working on Sleep

Wee Man is not the best sleeper. He's better than his older brother was in amount; but Wee Man prefers to sleep in someone's arms than his bed...Or his chair...Or his swing...
We got him used to his bed for nighttime fast. He was fine with sleeping there in the peaceful dark until his next feeding or diaper change. Unfortunatly, during the day, there were many, many days I could not put him down. As soon as I did, he'd wake up and cry.

Look how peaceful my sweet boy is at night. All swaddled up in his purple elephant recieving blanket. It's huge! My mom made me some large blankets when I had Monkey. So glad I kept them. Monkey didn't like being swaddled, so these were blankies to play on. Now they're swaddling blankies for Wee Man. The apple blankie is from Whimzee Baby. I love this blankie!

During the day, swaddled or not, Wee Man just does not like his bed. He prefers mine:

Or his big brother's:
(gotta love the custom Thomas sheets with the Cars pillow)

Of course, that doesn't mean he likes to sleep in those beds. He just has more fun playing on them.

Last week, we purchased a Sleep Sheep.
We're hoping this little guy helps our little guy nap better.
I'll admit, I was horrible at remembering to use the Sleep Sheep last week. Yesterday, I grabbed it when Wee Man was looking tired. I had it on as I rocked my sweet one to sleep. I was able to put him down in his bed, with the Sheep still going. He napped for an hour!
Today is Day 2 of Sleep Sheep napping. 30 mins into napping and all is good.
I think he likes it.

Until next time....

Project Life Saturday

Here's another week of pictures. So far, I've managed to get at least one picture a day, but I know there will be missed days in the future at some point. I'm okay with that though.

01/ 08 Hockey Night at our house. Steve proudly wearing the jersey I got him for Christmas, while Monkey plays with his beloved trains.

01/09 Cheeky Monkey...He distroyed his foam ship piece by piece. Good thing my sister was around. She's the only one who knows how to put it back together again.

01/10 Today I started my 6th week with Weight Watchers. I've dropped 18lbs so far. I'm very proud of myself and can't wait to say I've lost more.

01/11 Wee Man has appointment after appointment after appointment...He was born with a slight birth defect which might have to lead to an operation. He's going in for an ultrasound in the upcoming week to check his liver, bladder and kidneys. Then we'll be booked to see a specialist in Hamilton who will decide if my tiny baby needs to go under the knife. I'm hoping for a no.

01/12 My mom and sister whip through after Monkey came home from pre-school. They stole him for an overnighter. It's so quiet in the house when my Monkey is gone.

01/13 Wee Man all bundled up, and looking oh so cute, ready to go pick up Monkey from Grandma's house.

01/14 Shopping at "the food store," as Monkey says.

I was going to share how I set up Wee Man's first taste of rice cereal in my album, but I don't have my pictures yet. I sent them to Walmart to print. I had asked Steve to pick them up. He suggested a shopping day for today and to pick them up while we were in town. I had no idea we would get a bunch of snow today. So Walmart still has my pictures. Hopefully Steve will pick them up this up week.

And now I have one layout to share. Just one. How sad. I need to figure out how to get in more scrapping time. I miss it so much. I need to sleep train a certain tiny boy. Teach him that sleeping in his bed is just as nice as sleeping in Mommy's arms.

See? Sleeping in Mommy's arms.
I've been hoarding these Sassafras papers just for Wee Man layouts. They're perfect for tiny baby layouts. Now I just need to use more of them. I also have Nerdy Bird hoarded away for Wee Man layouts. I think I'll break into that pile today if I get the chance to.

Until next time...

Project Life Saturday

I've decided to set up my Project Life in order of the calendar year. So it's set up Saturday to Friday since the first was a Saturday this year.
Here's the story of our lives, in picture form:

01/01 We were playing with a Santa Mr Potato Head. Steve decided he liked the hat.

01/02 Nothing like a nice, relaxing day to pull out some new toys to play with.

01/03 Lately these little monkeys have been enjoying my bed. Monkey Man loves my cozy, fuzzy pj pants. He said they make a good pillow. Looks like Wee Man agrees.

01/04 I've started putting on Baby Einstein DVDs sometimes for the boys. It gives me 20 mins of free time to get dishes or, like this morning, laundry done.

01/05 Blue's Clues! We had the tv off all morning. When I finally turned it on, we were surprised, and happy, to see Blue. It's one of Monkey's favourite shows.

01/06 Wee Man has always hated tummy time. From 2 months of age, he'd just roll onto his back. He can now roll onto his tummy too; it changed his mind on tummy time.

01/07 Fuzzy Sock Day! I put on socks for the first time this week. Normally I just run around in my new slippers.

I have inserted a 6x12 photo protector for this week in my album. I've added a 4x6 journaling card and will be adding 5 pictures from Wee Man's first try of rice cereal.. I would add the extra pictures here, but Blogger is getting on my nerves. Maybe next week I'll add a picture of the insert.

Until next time...

Time? Where are you?

I swear I have no time. I have no idea where the days go anymore. Really haven't since Wee Man came along. Not that I'm complaining. I've been enjoying being a mother of two so much; even when the two of them are crying.
We had Steve's other two rugrats here over Christmas...Four kids, total chaos! It was trying, but oh so fun at the same time.
I love this picture I got of the kids. It just screams out who they are.
There's crazy Dino-boy, the sweet Princess, the easy going Wee Man and the giggling Monkey. I adore this bunch!

We got through Christmas with a bad case of the stomach flu. We all got hit one by one. Six days of vomit. Ick! But we got through.
We spent Christmas Eve and Day at my parents' house. I got this picture of my mom and Wee Man. I love it. I'm so grateful she was well enough to enjoy our celebration together.
My boys and I.

Yes, I have Prima flowers in my hair. It was the most creative thing I've been able to do in weeks. I got a Slice Elite from my parents. I'm hoping to find the time to play with it soon.
Until next time...
