This and That

Top Designer is going to be starting at Bad Girls soon. I am very excited about it. I missed last year because, well, I wasn't scrapping then. I picked it up only a couple months later. There are going to be a bunch of classes. I can't wait to learn and grow!

Yesterday was my first day back at work. It wasn't too bad. I was only shown part of the job. I guess they couldn't throw too much at me. I'm still learning how to master the pager system. Me, a rather shy and quiet gal, has to get used to yelling into the pager so the service guys can hear me if they have a phone call. Over all, I don't mind the job so far. But it only has been one day.

There's a picture from my mom's trip out West to visit my aunt. Mom's in the yellow at the top and Erika is in the red hoodie. Erika still had hair at this point (and still does), but it was shaved really close to her head. Plus the scraf hides where the doctor's operated. She can't wear her hats yet because her head is still pretty swollen and it hurts her. I'm hoping she feels well enough for a trip out here. I'd love to see her again.

Scrap For a Cure

I stumbled across the Scrap For A Cure blog and found a challenge that spoke to me. The challenge was to use a clock on the layout and use the word "time."

Here's what I came up with:

Using a piece of cardboard that I distressed, painted and glimmer misted, I made a wall hanging for my little sister. I used an old necklace as part of the hanging piece. I had a lot of fun with paint, glimmer mist, sewing, stickles and ink. Parts of the layout are hanging off the cardboard. I backed the clock up with cardbard to make it more sturdy.
It didn't turn out as perfect as I would have liked it, but I'm happy enough with it and I'm sure my sister is going to love it. And yes, that's her license on there. It's her G1.

Working Mama

Looks like this mom is going back to work, again. I've just been offered a contract admin job. The job is right next door to my parents. Monkey will be going there a few days a week when my mother's not working.

As much as I love being at home with my little monkey, I'm kind of looking forward to getting out in the real world again. I feel really at ease leaving monkey with either my family or with my neighbour. He's taking a liking to Kelly and the other kids she babysits for. And she adores him so much.

I love this layout! I was able to get the picture without my mom or monkey knowing I did. I think the papers match it perfectly.

This is one of my favourites! And I have Wendy's great taste to thank. It was made with the July Bad Girls kit. I used my own paint and ink. I used the packaging from the Prima brads on the layout as well.

I've been hanging onto this picture since Christmas. That's a 9 month old monkey. Other than his hair going from short and straight to long and curly, he's the exact same. I love that tiny face!
Until next time....

Creating Change

I've decided to share a little more of my scrapbooking on here. I will start uploading soon. But right now, I have a job interview to get ready for.
Until next time...
