How was your National Scrapbooking Day? Did you get any scrapping done? Part take in any crops and challenges?
Over at WeScrap I had my last job to do as an iTeam member. My last challenge. How bittersweet it was. My challenge was to create a layout (single or double) about a mother. It could have been about you, your mother, your friend, your aunt...Any mother. Mother's to fur-babies too.
Here's my layout:

Monkey and I had a little fun with the camera one morning. This layout didn't turn out how I wanted it to. Steve really liked it so I left it alone.

I got in some scrapping on NSD. Steve didn't go in to the office this weekend so he was home to play with Monkey. I wanted to play along at WeScrap, but I ended up working on a canvas album for my best friend instead. It's about halfway done now. I still have a few more pages to work on and then I have to go back through and finished embellishing it. For my first time working with a canvas album, I think it's turning out okay. I just hope she loves it.

With the start of May comes the reveal of The Scrapping Bug's monthly kit. This month it's full of Bella Blvd! I had been looking at this line, but hadn't bought any. So glad I got this kit to play with. I had no idea I would love these papers so much! Perfect for my boy and boy to come!
Here's what I came up with:

Made With Love - The title is from the March kit. It was red, I painted it gray so it would match. The ribbon is also from the March kit (I think). I got the May kit on the same day I had my ultrasound. I had the pictures scanned and printed as soon as I got home to start scrapping.

18 Weeks - Not in kit: buttons. I am on a red button kick. I'm almost out of red. I'll have to find more.

Mother's Day Card - It's right around the corner! The flower heads are doubled up and poped up on foam dots for added interest.

Grateful - Not in kit: Cardboard base. This is my favourite layout I created from this kit. It's simple, it came together in minutes and (I think) it's beautiful. But that could be the bias mommy in me who keeps gazing at the picture of her sleep Monkey.

And I have one more layout to share. It's simple and, once again, only took minutes to complete. Since I got to create with some lovely Bella Blvd, I pulled out a Bella Blvd sticker sheet I've had for a while. I looked at all the stickers (12x12 page of them) and decided to try to use as many on one layout as possible. Using 15 stickers, one piece of pattern paper, one piece of cardstock and two brads I came up with this:

The picture made me realize just how badly Monkey needs a haircut. His hair touches his shoulders! He has such thick, beautiful hair that has a slight curl to it. I love it so much, I hate cutting it.

Until next time...
