Project Life Saturday

I've decided to set up my Project Life in order of the calendar year. So it's set up Saturday to Friday since the first was a Saturday this year.
Here's the story of our lives, in picture form:

01/01 We were playing with a Santa Mr Potato Head. Steve decided he liked the hat.

01/02 Nothing like a nice, relaxing day to pull out some new toys to play with.

01/03 Lately these little monkeys have been enjoying my bed. Monkey Man loves my cozy, fuzzy pj pants. He said they make a good pillow. Looks like Wee Man agrees.

01/04 I've started putting on Baby Einstein DVDs sometimes for the boys. It gives me 20 mins of free time to get dishes or, like this morning, laundry done.

01/05 Blue's Clues! We had the tv off all morning. When I finally turned it on, we were surprised, and happy, to see Blue. It's one of Monkey's favourite shows.

01/06 Wee Man has always hated tummy time. From 2 months of age, he'd just roll onto his back. He can now roll onto his tummy too; it changed his mind on tummy time.

01/07 Fuzzy Sock Day! I put on socks for the first time this week. Normally I just run around in my new slippers.

I have inserted a 6x12 photo protector for this week in my album. I've added a 4x6 journaling card and will be adding 5 pictures from Wee Man's first try of rice cereal.. I would add the extra pictures here, but Blogger is getting on my nerves. Maybe next week I'll add a picture of the insert.

Until next time...

Time? Where are you?

I swear I have no time. I have no idea where the days go anymore. Really haven't since Wee Man came along. Not that I'm complaining. I've been enjoying being a mother of two so much; even when the two of them are crying.
We had Steve's other two rugrats here over Christmas...Four kids, total chaos! It was trying, but oh so fun at the same time.
I love this picture I got of the kids. It just screams out who they are.
There's crazy Dino-boy, the sweet Princess, the easy going Wee Man and the giggling Monkey. I adore this bunch!

We got through Christmas with a bad case of the stomach flu. We all got hit one by one. Six days of vomit. Ick! But we got through.
We spent Christmas Eve and Day at my parents' house. I got this picture of my mom and Wee Man. I love it. I'm so grateful she was well enough to enjoy our celebration together.
My boys and I.

Yes, I have Prima flowers in my hair. It was the most creative thing I've been able to do in weeks. I got a Slice Elite from my parents. I'm hoping to find the time to play with it soon.
Until next time...

December in a Nutshell

At least up until today...

We have a kitten who is claiming every box in the house (before it gets recycled)
A baby who makes a cute gangster elf
Bur he proves he can smile too
A kitten who eats cheap, glittered decorations. There's glitter in the litter box!
Monkey loves his Lego advent calendar
My boys! How I adore them
Monkey proving how smart he is. He spelt Wee Man's name all by his self
Making green cookies on a pj day
 Lookin' cute
 Snow day!

A fuzzy sock sort of day
 A cute sort of day
Chopped off the hair. Bye bye pony tail
 Santa came to town early
Monkey was jumping up and down

 Opening presents at Christmas #1
All three older kids made a gingerbread house
I think they did an awesome job
 Rudolph cupcakes! I adore Rudolph!

And as soon as we have some sun and I have time, I'll share some scrappy related projects.

December Bug Kit

I did not think I was going to like the Christmas Delight line from Little Yellow Bicycle too much. I thought it was pretty, but not me. Man, I was wrong! I love every bit of it. It was a delight to work with in the December kit from The Scrapping Bug. I wish I would have been able to give the kit more time to work with. I was only able to give about 2 hours to this kit. Here's what I came up with:

Tis The Season - This was based on a sketch from WeScrap. I think it turned out pretty cute.

December 25th - Honestly, it's December 24th. We do our present opening Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day, which is for Santa presents and stockings. The snowflakes have fine, clear glitter on them. It's snowing here today so the pretty glitter on the pattern paper and that I put on the snowflakes are not picking up. You'll just have to trust me when I say it's pretty. This one was based on a sketch from the new PageMaps 2 book. Love that book!

Dear Santa - Monkey and Santa from last year. Monkey was so excited to meet Santa.

I still have lots left to this kit. I'll be playing with it again to see what else I can come up with.

Have you got your December Daily ready to go? If I have the time tomorrow, I'll post my first day.

Countdown to December Daily

5 Days

to go until the start of December Daily!

Do you have your album ready yet? I have the base pages ready. Although, ready for me does not include numbering my pages. I want to be free to use whatever page tickles my fancy when I sit down with my daily picture(s). I might pick the page before printing the picture(s) depending on how many I want to print. Some days are just going to be a big picture with a tiny jot of journaling.

I absolutely love this time of the year. I can't wait to record it. I have a list of Christmas activities I want to do with Chase this year. Had to do a list because that's how I roll. I'm such a geek. But at least I know I can add the list somewhere in my December Daily. One of our Christmas activities is taking place this weekend. The Santa Claus parade is this Saturday evening. I figure on a day we have nothing Christmas-y going on, I'll add in the parade pictures.

Don't know what the heck I'm talking about when I say December Daily? Check out Ali Edward's site. I don't know if Ali is the one who started this holiday fave, but she's made it popular. Her albums always turn out amazing. She's an inspiration.

Here I Am!

Life with a two month old and a three year old has kept me busy. If we're not busy with life in general, we're busy with something else. Pre-school, Christmas shopping, doctor appointments, play dates, visits to Grandma's house, etc.
I haven't found the time to finish any scrappy project lately. I have three basic grey calendars on the go (one for my mother, one for my sister and one for myself), a painter tray for my best friend, my December Daily album, a mini album and a layout or two. I have so many ideas right now, I'm just trying to get them down before I forget.

Here's my album (laid flat) for my December Daily.
I love how it turned out. It's a 6x12 canvas album. I stamped and embossed snowflakes. Then I sprayed Studio Calico Apple Jack mist on top. I thought it was going to look horrible because I didn't stamp or emboss very well (I am such a newbie at stamping; I suck), but it gave the album a lot of character. I love it. Can't wait for December!

Photo of the Day

Wee Man; a day short of being 8 weeks old; six days short of being 2 months old; completely melting my heart every single day.
